Our Gold Award winner is super compact and offers a two-in-one crib and cot that lasts from birth to approximately 24 months. It features an expandable section, which acts as a crib initially, which is great as it allows you easy access to your baby and means your little one is not too close to a potentially chilly floor.

Story fits our cot bed mattresses — go shop your mattress. The Regulation 28 report also stated that the crib was in a tilted position of 8cm 3in while the instructions state it should not be above 5cm 2in.

Once baby can sit up, you simply unzip it to make a deeper space for your growing child. It has mesh sides for breathability, comes with a handy travel bag and a foldable padded mattress. It also has a rocking mode, which is great for a travel cot, as many parents rely on this in the early months to help baby to sleep. A fab piece of kit for those on the go or with tight space. Initially, I thought it was going to be tricky to put together and asked my partner to set it up, but I could have actually done it with my eyes closed.

My daughter found it very comfortable as she would often just sit in it playing with toys we also used it as a play pen. She would fall asleep quite quickly. Overall a brilliant and well designed product and something I should have purchased from when she was younger. It easily converts from cot to playpen, has a bassinet level for younger babies, as well as a removable cot top changer, which is a very welcome bonus. It seems good quality and folds down to a perfectly acceptable travel size.

The changing station and bassinet options are great additions and for me is what really set this travel cot apart. We have enjoyed using this cot and would definitely purchase again or recommend to a friend. This cot is so easy to put together and take down, it can be done in a matter of minutes. My little boy loved sitting in it and playing and had a few naps it in.

It features a safe-to-use, fitted mosquito net cover, and not only can it be used as a travel cot, it is also designed as an insect-free safe space to put little ones, as well as a great play teepee for older kids. At 6kg it is truly portable, has an extra padded mat, and mesh sides so parents and child can see each other.

The SpaceCot folds and unfolds in 3 seconds without the need to faff or bend down. It comes with a travel case and an integrated mattress. It also includes a detachable upper level crib for younger babies, which allows you to lift and put down baby without ease. Everything else is brilliant, the fact that it is so quick and easy to set up and put away. But the best part is that it fits back in the bag, perfectly! I just wish it had been around 3 years ago when my eldest was small!
